Black Cheek Been Carried

Recommended Posts

hi all,

I had a pair of finchs, that 4 young. The parents were a grey male/split for cfw and a visual blackcheek grey female

The off spring were 3 grey 2females 1 make and 1 cfw female.

Now if i am right all the chicks should have the blackcheek gene but none have shown this visual.

The question i have is the cfw female has the blackcheek gene when breeding her will the blackcheek be shown visual in her young or will it be carried over again.

Chris

hi dave,

Cheers for that, yes mate been real busy at the mo, ill reply to you soon on them. What are the odds of getting out a visual black cheek.

The pairing;

blackface cfw male x cfw split blackcheek female.
