Chrisd346 7 Report post Posted December 31, 2014 I have had a chick fledge today, shows all of the signs of being a cfw other than it has no tear marks. It's parents have produced normal BB chicks in the past, is it possible then this could be a black breasted cfw? Thanks all in advance
MrMe3257 28 Report post Posted January 1, 2015 Could it be a white instead of cfw as cfw has tear marks whereas whites dont? A pic would help. Stephen

Chrisd346 7 Report post Posted January 1, 2015 I'll get a look later guys and get back to you, I'm pretty sure it has tail bars of some shape or description. Thank you both, hope you are enjoying your new year!
MrMe3257 28 Report post Posted January 1, 2015 Bb tail bars are vertical rather than horisontal and hourglass shaped bars mean its split black breasted. Had a great start finally caught the rat (2rats actually)that took my hen cfw/bc tailfeathers clean out and it turned out to be 12 inches long!!! Two weeks before I had a mouse caught in the wire and couldnt get in or out.
