  1. Hi mark, There are numerous breeders in south wales, I don't know them my self but others will and will put you into contact with them. And welcome to a great forum. Dan
  2. Hi Stephen, Could it be down to him being a spilt that the colours wont fully show one or the other, black or orange, as for the speck of orange on his cheek patch this could be down to the same thing. I know when I had some splits the cheeks and marking where not totally shown, for instance on hens there tear drop would be slightly thicker, but going towards the back of the bird it would show slighly faded cheek patches, as it the tear drop had been smudged, along the cheek area. Dan
  3. If its a purr white it should have tail marking unless its a badly marked bird so, I'm with Andy on this as it seams to be a pied, you say the beak is a dark red but what colour are the legs on this birds as they can also help to sex the bird. Dan
  4. Nice looking pair there Dan, what colours do you breed. Cheers Dan

  10. Hi Wayne, James is right in what he says, but U say it has fawn cheeks, so this would be a fawn cheek, to sex a Zen can be done several ways. First the cheeks, but if you have black cheeks, fawn cheeks, grey cheeks and cfw cheeks. Secondly you can use the chest barring and flanks, as mainly only cocks birds have these, but you can get poorly marked hens that show slight chest bars and side flanks. Thirdly you can use beak colour, cock birds are a really bright red compared to a hens orange. Hope ive helped any more questions fire away fella. Cheers Dan

Hi Trevor, Yes I am, i obtained a few birds from Peter hook, before stafford as i went down to his and took some birds after a great convo, i obtained some new stock to improve on the head size, and this is 1 chick from a pair, my original cfw cock and 1 off his hens i purchased, just wish i had it before i showed at stafford, but there's always next year. Cheers Dan
