Clare L 175 Report post Posted May 19, 2015 Hi All, Hope you like the attached. The Pied chick in the middle is a gate crasher from another nest, which has produced some rather cute pied chicks. The attached are Cream & LB Silver Chicks (Possible DF) ( Mum & Dad Are both Silver ), plus one normal/LB. Silver Hen x LB Silver/Fawn Male ( chicks are aviary bred so no guarantee ). They are due to fledge in the next couple of days. http://s880.photobucket.com/user/Claretrx7/media/19052015%20001_zpskrpevjm1.jpg.html?sort=3&o=3 Either way really pleased, with them. Clare P.S, I do know the danger of breeding dominant to dominant, these are aviary bred and they paired themselves. This is not something I would pair normally. Emmy 528 Report post Posted June 22, 2015 Hi Clare that is a beautiful variety of chicks you have there. Re my finches (except the BC ones) they have all been allowed to choose their own mate - but it's always the same they never choose the partner I would like them to have Very poor year with my canaries only 3 young and they had to be hand reared.
