you can buy styptic pencils in any good chemist, there main use is for shaving cuts, barbers use them as well.
You can also use the end of a matchstick (Red Type), just wet it and dab it on the wound.

I agree with Paul, I've never heard of mite infestations with Zebs.
Zebs actually eat them if they get near them or so they say.
