Hi Emmy,Glad to hear that they are back on the nest again, try not to disturb them and they should feed it when required.Listen out for it calling for food when the parents are near. The older it gets the noisier it will become.Gary.

Hi Pete,Thanks for the comments on the site, I'm just in the process of updating it. It will then form part of the new front end for the forum. I also hope to add the merchandise that we are having made too it as well. The grey cheek in the picture is currently sitting on 5 eggs so finger crossed I should have some more of the same soon.As for the quantities of seed, the type I purchase come in the following weights:Panicum 20kgWhite Millet 20kgPlain Canary 20kgJapanese Millet 12.5kgRed millet 12.5kgNiger Seed from 5kg up to 25kgPin Headed Oats 5kg up to 25kg Hope this helps,Gary.

Welcome to our community Sam, I look forward to seeing some pictures of your birds.Gary.

You could mix some Aniseed in with it, either powder or liquid form, Zebs love the smell of it and it attracts them and encourages them to eat more. It's a good supplement to add for sick birds.Pin headed oats and wheat germ oil also adds nutritional value.Hope this helps,Gary.

I'm with Dave on this one, with vat now at 20% you make a saving of £20.00 on every £100.00 you spend on seed.I phone my supplier and pre-order what I need, then pick it up when it arrives.Like Dave said you can add or take away certain seed as you wish depending on the time of year.I prefer to give my birds more panicum millet when they are breeding.Have a look at this link for a simple mix Zebra Finch Seed Mix.Gary.

I find that it helps young and inexperienced birds, it also helps to reduce the risk of dead chicks in the nest.Oh and by the way, three of the young fledged yesterday.Gary.

All,I use an Essa air cleaner at one end of the shed and vent axia fan at the other side, the benefit of both is that the air cleaner sucks the air in and cleans it and the fan on the other side sucks it out. This creates a flow of clean air through the shed.Vent axix fans also have electronically closing louvers that close when the fan is switch off, reducing the risk of draughts.Gary.
