Depends on what you want to breed, I guess more BB fawns, right? If you don't have a BB male (fawn or grey) you could pair her to a Fawn male to breed splits. And if you would later on pair her also to another fawn male from a different bloodline than the first maleyou could cross youngsters from both males and breed from them fawn bb males and females, but also split's and fawns who are not split.Any ideas on what would best to pair her. -
Yes looks like a fawn black-breast female, but I think she also is split OB, don't think she is full OB.What are her parents?Cheers,Huub.

Hi Scott,What exact is your goal with this pair, I guess you want to breed Cream lightbacks, right?I currently have 1 Fawnlightback hen in my shed, which i picked up at Stafford in october and hoping to pair with a Cream cock in 2 or 3 weeks time.CheersScott -
Hi everyone,Late December I paired up most of my birds, 38 pairs in total.I have two main colours, Penguin grey and Lightback fawn. For the penguin grey breeding I paired up 26 pairs, and for the lightback fawn breeding 11 pairs. Most of my fawn lightbacks are from the fawn lightback blood lines from Dave Edwards. The penguins are of my own bloodlines, although I ad two birds from Peter Harisson this year to breed splits from. The last pair are two normals birds split blackbreasted, from Dave Edwards. For my fawn lightback breeding I use fawn lightbacks, redeyd fawn lightbacks, and very warm coloured Dutch and German fawns. Also one Cheek fawn lightback female from Peter Harisson, the cheek factor you normaly don't need to breed fawn lightbacks, but she had a very nice type. For my penguin grey breeding I use my own penguin grey lines, and also some top coloured Dutch normals from Bart Houben andthis year for the first time a normal female and a grey cheek male from Peter Harisson to breed splits from. Also here the cheek factor only because of the very nice type. The first 40 birds are banded, and another 30-40 small chicks are in the nests.Hope we all will have a great breedingseason with a lot of nice young birds.Cheers,Huub.

The teardrop does anwer the question, it is grey in colour, not brown. So it has to be a grey cheek. This is a fawn cheek:

I don't think it's penguin, it is pied.
Do you have a better and closer picture?
