  4. Hi everyone . Fidget is doing well with flying and starting to eat out of seed bowls, my major concern is that his/her claws aren't developing properly. They seem to be deformed and he/she hops around fine and I have picked up and checked her claws but they have curled in and Fidget doesn't seem to use the back claw either. If anyone can give me some advice would be great
  5. Hi Emmy Just looked at your photo of cfw. I see what you mean, yours does look like it is a he. I am just impatient All my birds are sat outside at the mo and Jack and Jill seem to be interested in Emmerdale!! How funny!!
  6. Hi everyone! Baby Fidget is doing fantastically well. Seems to be singing well too! I thought Fidget was a she but appears to be a he. Also seems to be going more grey Has anyone got any idea if Fidget will have cheek patches etc if indeed he is a he? Any advice would be great
  7. Thanks Paul. Removed the nest last night, they fought for a bit but today they are calmer , showing Fidget around the cage etc. Going to get a different colour Zebra Finch to accompany Fidget in a new cage once we know what sex Fidget is.
  8. Thanks Emmy will try that. Fidget is sat in their grit bowl. Flew out just now , just getting used to the perches and we are putting some seed/egg food in a small dish. Sat on my shoulder then my head.

    Pair Fighting !

Hi everyone Jack and Jill are fighting today. Is it just Jack being protective of Fidget in nest, or is it something else, keeps pecking at Jill when she tries to get back in nest?

    Confused!

I thought it was Jack at first , but it isn't a chirping noise, more like a little tune My husband heard it too, only has black tear markings , will wait and see. At the moment Fidgets head pops out of nest as if to say shall I try this flying thing again? They are so funny!!! Marie

  19. Hi I am new to the forum and am a bit puzzled with my little baby zebra finch. He or she is two wks old and is covered in white feathers with the head turning grey? Cock and hen are normal greys , have had them for nearly a year now and they are lovely birds. Will the baby be a normal grey? Or another colour?
