    I will breed normal to normal (most the time) but I have other mutation like LB, Fawn and CWF this mutation sometime need the normal to incrise the size, or I will not have these problems with this mutation?

    It's possible Paul my englhish is a little rusty.

     

    It's better keep the hen from the pair mutation cock x normal hen, because if i pair a normal/mutation cock x mutation hen some cock birds from this pair carrier the mutation and other no and I will not know which carry the mutation 

     

    I have a follow up question to this... I have heard that pairing BC x BC can over time, cause smaller birds to be produced... Is this true and is it just BC specifically or is it all recessive mutations in general?

    Casamber in my experience with BC the better no more than 2 generation BCx BC, in sex-line mutation it's a little bit different

    Thank you for sharing your experience with me.

     

    I will keep a pure line of normal grey and I will register every birth but we need keep some split bird for the other mutation. 
    It's better pair mutation cock x normal hen and keep the hens form this pair I'm correct? In next season pair this hens with the same mutation cock.
     
    Other question I have what is the better % of protein to breed zebra finch, I use egg food from orlux, birdcare and vitamins from birdcare.

    I have some questions about breeding zebra finch in better way!
     
    I breed the following mutations normal gray, lightback, CWF, fawn. We know is important have a good line of normal gray birds to increase de size the bird, and other important points.
     
    I think the better pair are mutation cock x normal gray hen, I'm right?
     
    I will obtain Normal gray/mutation cock and mutation hen.
     
    The hen will be use to pair with a mutation cock, I think it's the better or the better is  split cock will be use to pair too with a mutation hen?
