Hi Jon, yeah a visit sometime later in the year would be good. I was planning on paying you a visit as well at some point when I get some free time.
Cameron hasn't bred any silvers this year, he said 'I want to concentrate on my creams this year dad lol..he's managed 10 creams and a couple of fawns. He's also managed although not planned a visual cream / lightback cock bird. He also has 2 youngsters just leave the nest from a cream x cfw pairing, and a pair of cfw's on 5 eggs at the moment.

Hi guys,
Things are going well for me, after the usual slow start ill have around 30 chicks on the sticks in the next week! My two best cfw pairings have 5 chicks each.
One of these pairings is the cfw cock bird that won best novice at the club show the other year, and a cfw hen I bought from the ZFF auction (kindly donated by nick hall), now I'm trying not to get to excited but they are looking like some of the best birds I've bred so far.! And probably the best 50 quid I've ever spent haha.

Happy birthday mate.!!

Hi Trev
Thanks for posting these pics
I've managed to breed an exhibiton standard BF normal hen. She's still young yet but great looking bird. I thinking of entering her in the AOSV single hen class.
If I do ill let you know how she gets on

Hi Clare
The youngster is around 4 months old and yeah seems to be taking ages to show her true colour. As i breed mostly cfw they tend to colour up a lot faster than the silver mutation.
Cameron has managed to breed a silver cock bird to go with this hen so hopefully they will make the show bench.

Hi Clare,
Thanks for posting the picture and if you manage to dig out some more that would be great.

Yeah Cameron seems to be enjoying this hobby which will hopefully continue, He's hoping that he gets a matching pair from the creams for showing, although they all seem to be hens. The parents will be put down again in the coming weeks so hopefully a few cock birds then.
ill stick some pictures up of them when i get the chance.
My birds are doing ok. From 8 pairs i managed 21 youngsters from the first round, all cfw, even my mixed/split combos produced all cfw.lol.
There's been the usual horror stories along the way and very frustrating at times, however patience is a must.

Hi Jon,
Yeah just the one silver so far. There was also a visual normal in the nest.
Cameron has 3 pairs, they are
Silver x normal (2 chicks – 1 silver, 1 normal)
Silver x Fawn (on eggs at the mo)
Cream x Fawn (3 chicks – all cream)
Do you have any pictures of you’re silver youngsters I can have a look at?
Thanks
