  1. Hi Dave,

I've never had that pen' type, I've had are fawn, Normal and BB,

At mo I might have a LB Pen young not 100% on that only going by the tail,

    I was told it's a LB /BB ?

Wouldn't the CFW surpress the colours of a Pen' ?

I think it might have the same effect as a CFW pied,

Might be wrong but still like to see a photo later on Dave,

    keep in touch,

    Trevor :)

  2. Hi Chantel,

First of all welcome to the forum and hope you enjoy your stay on here,

Mutations are not as hard as people make out, just concentrate on the colours you have and once you are used to seeing your colours then move on to other colours. if you try and look at nearly every mutation it does become a bit of a minefield.

You can look at www.efinch.com good photo's and good info, well worth a look,

it will also clear up the BB markings for you,

In your photo's I can see a Fawn hen (single), CFW male with a BC ?,

Have you another pic of the BC in the flight would be good please the colours would come across more natural,

    Hope this helps you (efinch),

    All the best,

    Trevor :)

  3. All,

As they say don't count your zeb's before they hatch well this nest are due to come out in the very near future and I think I may have just hit one of my targets,

If you look in the bottom R/H corner the dark headed one,

It could be a BFBCLB or even a BFBCBBLB if it's either i'll be chuffed to bits as I've had a rubbish start to the season and it's still rubbish,

But if this turns out it will make up for everything,

    Thanks for looking !

    Trevor :)

  4. Aspen,

On your fawn hen, has she got faded spots on her flanks as I can't quite make out,

Her tail is not the norm for fawns,

I'm thinking that she's got OB in her and that would be one part of the young,

I'll wait for your answer before I commit myself anymore,

    Trevor :)

  5. Josh,

I think it's on Daves lines here,

I've got the same thing and I'm putting it down to young birds,

Approx 75% of my pairs this season are 2013 birds,

The most yearling zeb's I've paired off ever, now whether this is a coincidence I don't know but it's my hunch as well,

Everything else is the same feed, cages, boxes etc,

    Trevor :)
