I thought (maybe incorrectly) that as CFW is sex linked, that mating a CFW hen with a grey male would mean that any female offspring would be CFW.
i think what sex link means if any cfw chicks that come from that pairing would be hens, not any hens would be cfw you could still get normal grey hens,
i paired a black cheek cock bird with a cfw hen and 3 chicks 2 fawns and 1 normal grey

Not a problem Lee & they're questions I would be asking too lol I've been told to breed a penguin cock to a exhibition NG hen x4 pairs(or more if you have the space) which would give you big ng/split then breed them back to penguins to give you the big birds?? No doubting the info I got(also @ Stafford) just want to make sure its right before I start the process!!
i will let you no i have 2 pairs where i have used a nice size ng/penquin and a penquin which have chicks about to leave the nest

hi adam the hen bought of dan binley (dannyboy2012 )when he packed up which i think he got from d moore and the cock bird i got from riverbank aviaries in cambs they bought a lot of someones spare birds who name i forgot he shows bc's and phaeo's and bengalese,i do remember she said he writes articles for the cage and aviary and i thought she said he lives near duxford but i could be wrong

mine were plucking their chicks head,so I put another nest and material in the cage and everything is okay

i have been told that it is bbbfbc (triple black) i have 2 of them that i have bred this year and a hen i am not sure on its colour yet,i bred them from a fawn bc hen and a bbbf pied cock bird

my photo taking is rubbish the best one's i take is when the bird decides to fly of the perch just as i press the button and i end up with a loverly photo of a perch lol
