  1. Grant if your looking to breed CFW`S with decent colour in there tails, you`ll have try and get hold of Continental Chesnut Flanks.

I Used to breed Continentals 10 years ago but UK breeders tend to concentrate all there efforts on the UK Variant and as such you never seem to see the Continental version these days.

Best of luck in your search for what you`re trying to achieve.

  2. The plot thickens.

It does look like 2 Cream Chicks and to me the Fawn Chick looks more like a Fawnlightback, going on the photo the Fawn seems to have a white underside which suggests Fawnlightback.

Would be good to see a pic of the Dad and will comment further when i`ve seen a pic of him.

    Cheers

  3. No probs Chris.

Used to breed Blackcheeked Normals in the 90`s.

Would like to keep them again sometime in the near future, but even the small petshop types seem hard to source these days.

All the best with your breeding.

    Cheers

  4. Nice one Jon,

I`m pretty much breeding the same colours as yourself, only at the moment i`m breeding Grey, rather than the Fawncheeked mutation, simply because i don`t really have any Fawns in my shed.

Hoping to try and bring in some Fawns later on,when the shows start up.

  5. Looks a nice chick Jon.

Another mutation i really like apart from Dilutes is Fawncheek and Greycheeked.

Well done on a least starting to get some chicks,i`m still struggling away, having only bred 13 so far this season.

How many are you up to now?

  6. Hello Nick,

The one on the left is what your looking for in regard to colour, having bred this mutation myself.

The one on the right has too much colour but seems to have  better head features, the one on the left has his eyes closed,so could equally have good head features.

    Nonetheless nice looking birds.

  7. Nice one Mark, really pleased she`s doing the business for you.

I must be getting rid of all the good birds,in regard to breeding that is,as the ones i`ve kept have done nothing this year :(

Anyway there`s always next year to try and get some yougsters.
