there defo pied the cock is a blackcheck fawn pied and hen no sure if blackcheek yet but its defo got fawn pied in it

i wouldnt cause what will happen is they might cover rest of the eggs and chick up to make a new nest wait till all chcicks are a week or so old then add the bedding ur self to bottom of the nest and the chicks will flat it down

zebra and bengalese will breed together as do most finches if giving the chance its best to keep all hens together and all cocks to gether but also hen will lay eggs even if not with a cock as its in there breeding to breed and lay eggs

yea both hen and cock will do this to keep nest as clean as possible it means u have it sorted birds are doing there job now dont touch leave well alone

dont check leave well alone i no its hard not to check but nature nobody checks and if there ment to be they will as if u touch and look to much u can frighting the parents and u could end up losing them all just sit tight and wait till youngest chick is 10 days old before disturbing things

hope ur got over ur lose a bit the day u done all u could and more but a small thought came to mind am the kind of person that thinks if its ment to be it will and thinking on the chicks if they were ment to live they would of so here is my thoughts the hen and cock of them chciks know they were weak and not ment to live and thats why they abandoned them as the other chicks in the nest from same birds are doing ok i belive in nature and it knows whats what with its own we can try our best but if its no ment to be it wont be

yea she prob no be eatting much as havent really studyed the feeding pat of birds but i dont think they fed late at nite think maybe they have a last fed before lights out and thats them to morning

dont think there is a correct answer to that question as like a person everybody is diifrent how much they need and every bird is the same ill say as long as the chicks crop looks full its plenty as minding with zebras they dont eat a lot at a time but eat often
