mac 0 Report post Posted May 28, 2014 Hi all I have fawn penguin hens and haven't had any luck trying to get a fawn pengin cock bird any suggestions as to where I can get 1 or how I could produce one as I have been told they are sex linked and will only produce fawn penguin cock birds by breeding from one any advice would be much appreciated. abarkecavalier 2 Report post Posted May 29, 2014 This method will take a few years to work out but its worth it, you get a nice normal fawn cock bird pair it to your fawn penguin hen keep the offspring from them, following year use the males from the chicks repair them back to fawn penguin hens, while pairing one of the fawn normal chick males back to its fawn mother, this should produce some fawn penguin males, you keep line breeding back into the original pairings until you succeed. I would use two large normal fawn cock birds and pair them to two fawn penguin hens this allows you the chance to cross the pairings.
