  2. When breeding i think it is best to give your birds minimum hours 12 day light but 14 plus is better and make shore there in good condition, Heating is not always necessary but if to cold some hen birds can get egg bound with fatal consequences, mark
Without heat and light I would pair up mid april time giving you till september for breeding plenty of time to get a couple of rounds in whilst days are long and temp warm
got to agree with both Mark and Dave I would wait for 4-6 weeks yet seen snow & frost in March and early April many a time

  3. what is the point of running a business when you wont pick up the phone to your customers it must be nice to be so busy that you can treat your customers this way :) the phone number is also the customer service number "what customer service" Rant Over

  4. if they want to breed they will whether its in a nest box or seed hopper or in the corner I would let her lay and then replace the eggs with dummy eggs she will sit for 2-3 weeks before she starts to lay again if you just remove the eggs she will lay again

  5. I would try and foster the chick out because if the hen has started to lay again it is possible that she has or is losing interest in the chick and may stop feeding i find that lone chicks have a high mortality rate the parents need to be kept busy feeding 2-4 or they lose interest

  6. breeding out comeNormal. x Pied. = 100% Normal/Pied..Normal/Pied. x Pied. = 50% Normal/Pied + 50% Pied..Normal/Pied. x Normal/Pied. = 25% Normal, 50% Normal/Pied + 25% Pied..Normal/Pied. x Normal. = 50% Normal + 50% Normal/Pied..Pied. x Pied. = 100% Pied..as for showing the should be as close to each other as possible in shape, size and markingshave a look on the ZFS site that's where I got the pairing information fromcheers Allan
