  1. Hi charlton,

The best way would to pair to other larger birds this will increase the size but depending on what size you want to get them at it could take years.

One of the more experienced breeders in shows may be able to help you out with more information.

    Chris.

  2. Hi mrme,

One things I try to do when mix breeding is have double the boxes per pair this should reduce the fighting. You will find in a flight to that zebs love to nest up high, I have never had a pair nest down low.

Normal stuff like fresh water and seed, plenty of cuttle fish and grit.

Nesting material as well, be careful sometime what you use as some of the fine stuff can get caught around the feet on the birds.

Other than that just leave them to it.

  3. Kerry,

I have found that they breed in the winter when your trying to stop them. I have only bred about 35/40 this year as I started late again. Hopefully next year will be better. Let me no if any of the bb bc are up for offers :-D.

  4. Hi dan,

Im trying this out at the moment and both seem to be working. The advantages of having them on the outside is you can get into the eggs chicks or birds. On the inside of the cages depending on the cages mine are fairly deep so theres not much disturbing the birds on the nest when coming in and out of the office (birdroom) :-D. They dont seem to be to bothered both ways should work.
