  1. Thank you Paul. I am guessing you are thinking the one on the right is split black breast? His cheek patch and flankings are a lot more intense than the other one. What would be my outcomes here if they were paired to Fawn Hens? Thank you
  2. Hi all, I bought these 2 cocks in the local pet shop today. They are not massive birds but stood out from the others they have. 1 of these has a slightly overshot beak which I have trimmed and will keep an eye on. What colour are they.... Thank you
  3. Hi allThanks for the welcome :)Have to admit I am not really into the mutations that much. Last time I had them I had normals fawns and pieds. My pieds were quite small and I was trying to use the normals to get a bit of size into them.I would most likely now have normals fawns & cfws. Having a fairly smallish set up I think it would probably be best for me to focus on a small group of colours etc.At the Kent ZFC show would it be just sales classes or do they have breeders tables selling birds etc?Craig
  4. Morning all,I am new to the forum having joined up a couple of days ago.I kept exhibition Zebs a few years ago for a couple of seasons, didnt show them but did breed them and get a good deal of enjoyment from them.I sold up because we was moving house and with work etc time was not always available to look after the birds.I now find myself having moved again and with more time available I would now like to get back into the Zebras. My birdroom is half a garage which I have partitioned off and this measures app 12ft x 8ft.I have a bank of 24 cages arriving on Wednesday which I've to paint etc.I also have an 8ft x 3ft indoor flight which I am thinking of either splitting into 2 reducing to 4ft x 3ft and have a small block of weaning cages where the other half of the flight would be.Really interested in seeing members birdroom layouts so I can get some ideas, if anyone could post photos that would be great. Also of course on the look out for some quality stock.I believe the Kent Zebra Finch show is in a few weeks time so I will take a trip to that one. Is there likely to be birds there for sale at all?I have some photos somewhere of the Zebs I had before so when I find them I will add them to here.
