Hi, I have only ever bred a handfull of silvers and they were all cocks, I have bred a few creams and like silvers I think one problem is the uneven colour. If the normal is buffy the colour may be more patchy, Good coloured fawns usually breed even coloured creams. Some hens, fawn, normal and dilutes have a ghost of a cheek patch which is classed as a show fault. Regards, Nick

Hi Keiron, Looks like a silver hen? Regards, Nick

Hi Guys, I inherited my zebs from my daughter Lauren, she made her mark at the club show in 2008, winning the colour award for best fawn, the fawn pairs have not produced and I thought this year maybe the end? I have swapped a lot of eggs around, some from a pair of fawns I gave the last attempt, cock bird is the 2008 club show colour award winner. I am sure the picture of the young below are from this pair, fingers crossed.

Hi, Not a positive answer for you but she may of had a stroke, also some hens suffer from egg laying and if they have strugled laying an egg it can cause balance problems. 4 years is a good age for a hen. Hope this helps. Nick

Hi Adam, In the flesh, the colour of this bird is very even and deep throughout, she is young and nervous but when relaxed has the type of a much buffier bird, Some of the more buffier birdsdont take the colour as well. Just my view. Regards, Nick

The 2nd photo is the best bird, the feather quality is the best I have ever bred, with a little more weight and less nerves in a show cage she will be a nice bird, have a nice cfw cock to show her with lol.
