    the way you can tell bb/ob hens can vary some show bits of orange in there tails or spots in there flanks but I have some splits that show both but also some orange spots in there facial areas and are darker grey than ng bb's hope this helps. if you are wanting to produce some ob's from the males then pair your birds to a ob or a ob/bb female that way you will produce all 3 colours with the last colour combo but only a small percentage of each colour will be produced and some splits

    for the past 2 years i have had some of my hens lay blues eggs but have never found the reason for this .have any of your blue eggs hatch out as only a couple of mine have the others were either infertile or went bad

    you got a lot going on again haven't you lol .I think we all wish we had room to do things we like to do but we cope anyway good thing zebs are hardy little birds.when I had cockatiels I learned mine to woolf whistle at the wife lol good alarm call for me as well . well done with all your breeding and hope for lots more fun for you with them

    I bet you get some cracking birds from those pairing its like a bird lottery not knowing what colour will pop up and if you don't no if there split for any other colour its every one guess what you could get. you will be going to have some exciting time watching your chicks colour to see what you get. good luck and keep us all informed of the outcome

  5. thanks guys for all the lovely feed back ,this colour wasn't the one I was trying for but knew I had a chance of getting this colour and now I have im really happy with it and will breed more of this colour next year as the parents to this one have produced one more of these and the colour I was trying to breed in the first place
