    Hi bud, thanks

yes that’s the site - I’ve tried all methods, phone, tablet and laptop - always the same timeout message. I’ve tried it via various different links with the same results. Frustrating to be honest as I’m thinking of joining but want to browse through the website first.

its not just you fella, i gave up with the **** thing and just use this site now, it has more than enough information to keep you well informed and if you do facebook? i created a page called "My Zebra Finches" (took hours to come up with that title lol)  i no longer run it as too busy but a few members off here took it on but has loads of pictures and answered questions.

As promised here are some photos of the led light strips that I'm using in the two test cages.

The ones on the left are the double banked strips and I've got two 12" pieces length ways across a double breeder.

The ones to the right are the single strips and I've placed four 7" pieces width ways across another double breeder.

The picture shows both sets with and without the rubber outside covering.

This photo shows a strip ready to be fitted after the cable has been fitted.

I also plan to convert this kit, purchased from Ikea to add a remote dimmer purchased from ebay, total cost £16.00 and a couple of pence for the additional connectors.

    Gary.

Can you remember where you bought these from Gary?

  4. Despite having a large bath in their outside aviary which I clean and put fresh water in everyday, sometimes twice a day in hot weather, some of my Zebbies prefer using the water drinkers to try and bathe in...

I don't know if this just a coincident but there seems to be shortage of wild baby birds in my garden too.

Previous years we have seen clutches of 3-4 being fed at our feeders but this year it seems to be solo baby's.

We seem to have a fair few wild birds visit our garden (Drives my Zebbie's mad) but we also get this chap visiting too...:D

Andyn thankyou so much for your reply that's a great help. I am in Northamptonshire but easy reach to Warwickshire and Oxfordshire also. What is the difference with a training cage? And I sure I will have loads of questions along the way so thanks I just joined zfs yesterday so I await my starter pack

a training cage is the same as the show cage, some people use their older show cages to train their birds in so not to dirty and use the "BEST" show cages. All your using the cage for is to get the birds used to sitting on the perch, so that on show day the judges can see them. Normally when you put a bird in the cage they just sit on the floor, so putting them in show/training cage (10 to 15 minutes a day leading upto an event) starts getting them to sit on the perch and basically pose :D
