  2. cheers Andy..... I will see if mine will take Budgie seed. all my seed is Haiths as well an i use EMP an thrive an gloss. my birds don't seem to like emp wet though unless i make it with honey water.....

  3. hello everyone

I was interested in what seed mix you give your zebbies? I read a while back of a chap adding plain canary to his foreign mix. I tried this an my birds like it. I also add haiths tonic seed to it as well. after finally getting to read last weeks cage & aviary I enjoyed the article by Tony Edwards of Bengalese fame about putting buggie seed in his mix. I was interested to to if anyone on here had tried it......

  4. Nick. I have not quite finished but I will take some photos an post them. an yes steve all it is is bubble wrap sealed inside foil. I have only done the roof and half of two walls and its made a difference. from homebase 60 cm wide by 7.5 meters for £9.99 a role.

  5. Well I was not happy with how long my heater was having to be on when it got cold!!!! I also did not like the fluctuation in temperature. I wanted it to be more consistent. my new aviary had insulation in the false roof cavity and is made from  24mm tantalized tonge and groove treated outside an painted in but not lined. so I spent a couple of days putting silicon on  all the joints and fitted draft excluder round the door!!!! still too much difference in temp!!!!! so I researched other options and I came a cross THERMO FOIL. basically it's bubble wrap sealed inside foil, it's used by builders/plumbers to put under wood floors or in loft spaces or behind radiators. SO thought I would try. have only done the roof and the bottom half of two walls and already it's made a massive difference. it's easy to use you can cut it with a pair of scissors., you can staple it or I used that no nails stuff. quick cheap fix to help keep out the cold. just though I would share..
