  1. Yea daisy don't let people put you off of zebs and bengalese as these are just as highly prised as any other bird, it's a lot harder to exhibit a very good quality pair of zebras than it is to exhibit a rare foreign bird, the chances are that the rare foreign probably won't even have a set std to be judged by, zebras and bengalese will always hold there own hope you manage to find some good birds down your way
  2. Hi Andy, ok mate, not to far away then, I used to fish the Medway an awful lot up around Tonbridge, penshurst and fordcombe and know all around that way quite well , ive never actually been to Keith's place but I know he's from Bexleyheath, I'll have to catch back up with him soon, yea mate I most probably see you at some of the shows
  3. Hi daisy, Do you keep colour canaries aswell as I remember seeing you on the colour canary forum, do you have many zebras to be onest with you daisy I've had most types of birds throughout my life but mainly specialised in exhibiting British, mules and of course at the time for a good number of years my Yorkshires until I had a break in me birds for the last few years because of various and family health issues etc. now ive come back into the fancy I've sought of had a bit of shock horror as I've always known good canaries to be quite dear but the yorkies I was looking at were in excess of £100.00 each and more, can get an awful lot cheaper I suppose but the quality appears to rapidly go down hill, Im really looking forward to getting me birdroom soughted with all of me new cages etc, its not going to happen overnight daisy as its gonna take me a lot of time and money as it is in getting the birdroom straight and that's not including getting me birds i will be updating the birdroom pics at various times over the next few months as there's still plenty to do

  8. Hi peeps, im Stuart from Northwest Kent and am stating back up again in breeding and exhibiting finches after a several year lay off from various and family health issues, prior to me having the break for the last few years I had been a champion breeder and exhibitor of British, mules and canaries and been in the bird game for over 30 odd years , ive managed to sought meself me birdroom out which is a 9 x 5 ( feet ) brick built shed and was from one of me garden sheds that I'm still currently in the procedure of constructing and converting, the shed never had a window in it beforehand but have now fitted a large window in the front of the shed to expose as much light as possible, the front wall brick work on the exterior will eventually be cladded at a latter date for neatness got plenty to be getting on with as I've gotta also build all if me new cages yet, preferably with the metal punch bar fronts as these are what I've always used and rekon that these are the best
