well done emmy,i had a look in one of my nest's today and there was 7 bc chicks in there,that's 11 bc chicks from that pair the other 4 are fawn so hoping these will be the same. steve

thank you everybody its been a nice day having the wife and daughter running around fetching and carrying for me, dan (dannyboy2012) bought some nice birds over for on thursday for me which my mother in-law gave me the money for,after 26 yrs i think she now likes me lol steve

sorry about the quality of the picture the bird on the left came from a place near ely cambs that deal in birds,seed,cages and other bits and bobs,the man that bred it,takes his spare birds there i think the owner of the place said he shows and he writes articles for the c&a about zebra finches and bengalese so you can pickup nice birds at shop and dealers steve

hi i have 2 penquin chicks with different skin colours 1 is skin colour and the other one is dark is this a clue to what they are going to be,when my canaries hatch i can tell what they are going to be ie; varigated,green depending on skin colour. thank you steve

hi last year i brought 2 pairs of bc's 1 pair for me and another for someone else,when i got them i was told 1 pair was fawn bc, when i got them home i could not tell them apart they all looked grey even dan (dannyboy2012) said the pair i kept look grey,anyway the pair i kept have got 3 chicks so i took the nest down today and all 3 are a light beige to fawn colour i was expecting them all to be the parents colour any idea's please.i will put a picture up when they are out the nest should be this week sometime thanks steve
