That's so sad Emmy,
I think you gave Hamish a chance at life which he might not have had if left with Parents.
Onwards and upwards, there are still lots of your birds requiring your love and attention.

Looking Good Emmy,
I did think you might be a bit too hopeful about the Bengalese, but you never know.
Lucky Chick to have your perseverance for it's welfare.
All things are crossed for it's survival.
Good luck..

Yep! good to hear things are better for the both of you Emmy.
Think perhaps you might learn to 'Burp' your hand feeders. It would save you a trip to and the expense of the Vet.
Loving this Blog as you can probably tell.

You'll have to record or Patent that 'Shushing' lullaby Emmy.
I'm not a Cockatiel fan but I see what you mean.
I love the way he falls asleep. Quite reminiscent of our own kids and grand kids when they were babies.

Emmy,
What a difference in Billie's development in just two days. Some head and wing feathers also coming in I see.
Good Job!!

Emmy,
If only we could view both egg photos at an investigative size at the same time it would be good. I got a little cross eye'd flipping between them but there is certainly a difference between each.
The second one seems to be a lighter colour in the content. i.e. looks like the yoke at least. There is definitely a squiggle which could be blood veins etc.
Are you also candling it with a torch to visually see the growth/changes?
Good luck.

Sounds Interesting Trevor!

Nice one Emmy..
You haven't given away your recent process so I'm having to deduce that the Red is a heat source, so you have a 'Hot Spot' in centre (ish) of egg and the shells are also radiating heat. And if I remember from helping with original project the Blue in the green was also hot spots and it was confirmed Fertile.

Again, another interesting Blog Emmy.
Was it too cold to put the fed chick back in the nest to try and get parents to take over again?
Well done you!!
