norfolk flyer 208 Report post Posted October 7, 2012 All, looked in the aviary this afternoon and saw this male, followed him for a while and to my surprise he's a Blackbreasted Penguin. He's aviary bred, note the tail markings and orange on the head i'm 99.9% sure that's what he is. Really chuffed to bits, never seen this type before live or in a photo. Clare L 175 Report post Posted October 8, 2012 Hi Trevor, He certainly looks pengiun, and as you suggest Blackbreasted. Seems like a nice combination and very unusual. My first penguin I found in a pet shop, didn't know what colour he was thought he was a pied of some sort, fell in love with him and took him home. Found out after some research what he was. Have been hooked on pengiuns ever since, they always seem to look so delicate, have a few myself , that I have bred from him.
