Andyn 534 Report post Posted February 13, 2014 Just reading up in the Chris Blackwell book there are Penguin Pied so Whites are Pied in disguise and even if your Penguins are not visual pieds they could be carrying the gene and one or both could be white pied carrier. I think that makes sense. It will be interesting to know if is a white though Steve. Cheers

norfolk flyer 208 Report post Posted February 14, 2014 Steve, This is only possibly, one could be a grey penguin and the other a fawn penguin, Just a hunch that's all, Are the parents both penguin ? If so what colour ? Trevor

norfolk flyer 208 Report post Posted February 14, 2014 Andy, There are two sides to zeb's light side and dark side, For eg cfw dark skin, conti cfw light skin, normal ds and fawn ls, So what I'm thinking is poss the dark skin one could be a Grey Penguin and the other due to light skin could be a Fawn Penguin, So if the parents are both Grey Penguin the male could be split for fawn which would = 25% Grey Penguin split Fawn males 25% Fawn Penguin hens 25% Grey Penguin males 25% Grey Penguin hens Trevor
Andyn 534 Report post Posted February 15, 2014 Thanks Trevor, That makes sense and something else I've learnt about Zebies. Thanks again. Andy
