Quail dust bath

Any suggestions for what what to use as dust for my quail?

im thinking a cat littered tray with play sand or the kiln dried sand, the type used for brushing into slabs

Could you use the sand bought for Chinchillas?

But your idea of soft dry kiln sand sounds a good alternative and you might think about Silver sand too.

I know other members like Emmy have Quail so I expect they'll be better placed to say.

Hi the sand I have used has aniseed through it but I have also used the sand that is bought for nursery children to use in their play sand pit  - so there would be no problem about it being safe for quails.
