Hi Paul, Well done on the chicks mate, lovely size and markings. How long has it taken you to get to that standard in that particular colour? I may be wrong but I have herd its hard to get size in to the black variety of zebs. Are there many on the show bench these days? Chris

Hi, Cheers trev going okay at the moment slow start. Emmy, not to sure on colour yet. The parents are a cfw female and a blackface male. I dont have much history on the male so he may be split for something will soon find out when they start feathering up. Ill keep you all posted though. I have another pair with chicks as well a blackface cfw male with a cfw female. They have 2 chicks. Chris

Hi trev, Just to confirm then mate, if they do have chicks they will just look like your standard grey but will carry the pied gene. So when pairing the chicks to pied carriers and visual pieds they will have pied chicks. I dont no much about the female with him other than she is a normal grey. Let say she is carring the pied gene and paired to the male, will the chicks be visual pied. Thanks, Chris

Hi trevor, Cheers for that mate, I have him paired down to a normal female. You say 100% normal split pieds does this mean that all chicks will be pied. Say if I were to put pied to pied it 100% pied. What the difference between 100% pied and 100% normal pied. Chris.

Hi emmy, Im afraid I don't, I have 2 spare females not sure which one to put with him. A good size normal female or a blackbreast/orange breast fawn female. What would the out comes of these pairs be; Pied male x grey female Or Pied male x b/b.o/b fawn female. Thanks

Hi emmy, They are lovely looking birds, at a guess i would say the top one to be a female and bottom one to be a male. Its hard to tell with pieds sometimes, the beak should be red for the males but im not 100% with pieds. Chris
