Hi Trev That's what I was thinking But in a full penguin and cfw wouldn't the tear and breast still be effected by the penguin?? I'll post a picture as soon as I can not jumped ship yet Cheers Dave

    Cfw Penguin?

Anyone ever had a full one? Got 2 options for a chick I've bred Penguin x penguin parents (cock split cfw) so if a hen could be a full cfw penguin Or Cfw x cfw (fostered 2 eggs under the pair) Cheers
  4. Fawn and normal are males Both being split for at least Bb maybe ob too Lightest one is a lightback hen split Bb/ob Give them couple weeks and post new pictures Blackbreast and orangebreasted (identify splits) by their tails and cheeks - full Bb have only coloured tips and lack stripes. Splits have broken or Mismarked tail bars. Also blackbreast causes cheek bleed out of the normal cheek patch and orange breast you'll see hints of orange in tail and breast feathers
  5. Hey Andy Welcome mate Another nottingham member like myself and Jon
  6. No worries Post your picture here james
  7. If starting with single mutation black cheek and penguins Your looking at least 2 Seasons trying if not 3 Both are contradictory mutations as penguin supresses the black and bc odvious is trying to add it All chicks from above pairing will be visual normals carrying the bc and penguin hidden
  8. Any chance of a comparison of tail markings? As one from bf pairing will be definately split blackbreast which normally shows as a visible
  9. Have a small collection of penguins and splits Laus doesn't have them anymore I took on the remainder of his stock Bred a few but getting clear chested is the main issue in breeding Got a chick in nest at mo and just out couple pairings down Cheers
  10. Is the last one lightback? Looks good the ob Bb male
  11. Chances are they could be even if greys bred from the fawn line Making the chicks if fawn all hens Post pictures of the parents for id
  12. Looking nice Short and stocky
  13. Headache lol guessing Normal cocks all split pied & black cheek Then you'll get 25% split fawn 25% split light back 25% split light back & fawn 25% normal no other splits Then hens all split pied & black cheek Then 25% Normal 25% light back 25% fawn 25% light back fawn (possibly if crossover occurs to combine the 2) If males parent was a full fawn light back cocks will be split both together and not seperate Also same with hens they'll come out full or just normal Dave
  14. Lightback male x cfw hen Gives lightback split cfw males and lightback hens If other way round same males but cfw hens Bc x cfw Unless cfw is split bc All normals -males split cfw bc and hens split bc

    Fawn Penguins

No The cocks from the pairing will only be carriers I'd pair a cock to a penguin hen Gives you chance to produce fawn penguin

    Fawn Penguins

Yeah young cocks from original pair Penguin x fawn = Normal split fawn & penguin cocks Normal hens split penguin
  17. There might be orangebreasted in there too
  18. I agree with paul Only split blackbreast

    Fawn Penguins

Pair fawn cocks to penguin hens Then pair young males to full penguins Or pair the normal split male chicks to the fawn hen chicks the following season Gives you 25% chance of producing full fawn penguins in either sexe
  20. Nice trev surely means hens split bc
  21. I agree on that cream Jon looking good
