Chris is there any pictures of both parents at all you can add to this thread, esp showing tail markings too. Looks to have blackbreast in it to me
-
Nice one Paul looks good Think of me if your part with any
-
Haha thanks Jeff I certainly will Preston is a fair way from me though Any nice Zebs currently breeding or moulting out? You down for stafford in July?
-
Hi Jeff What birds of gd type did he have off you? Has emailed saying he has gd fawncheeks and greycheeks.

2nd pairing is wrong Paul Fawn cock x normal hen Will produce Normal split fawn cocks Fawn hens Also fawn penguins aren't hard. Season one - fawn cock x penguin hen 2 pairs Season 2 pair cock normal split fawn/penguin to fawn split penguin hens from other pair. Also if you have spare hen penguins pair normal split fawn and penguin cocks to them. Normal split fawn/penguin c x fawn split penguin h = Normal split fawn c Normal split fawn/penguin c Normal penguin split fawn c Fawn penguin c Fawn c Fawn split penguin cock Normal h Normal split penguin Normal penguin h Fawn h Fawn split penguin h Fawn penguin h If you use exhibition type fawns in initial pairings you should improve penguins too. 2nd pairing normal split penguin/fawn cock x penguin hen = Normal split penguin c Normal split fawn penguin c Normal penguin c Normal penguin split fawn c Normal split penguin h Fawn split penguin h Normal penguin Fawn penguin

ok no problem and scruffy is definately a SHE?
-
just sent you message mate did you breed many penguin or splits from the original birds? any pictures Dave
-
hi kim, any updated pictures of scruffy? dave
-
are the chicks you mention in your last post - from your original CFW x Normal pairing? or do you mean from fawn pied x cfw pair from original pair visually you should produce - normal split cfw cocks - cfw hens from your description, sounds like maybe a cfw cheeked cock ? or maybe a very washed out cfw-fawn cock cheers
-
see how they turn out, fingers crossed i suppose birds can mark out darker than they appear in nest i cant wait to get back breeding again thanks chris drop me a pm when your ready
-
hi sparky any chance you can put up a picture of the cock bird? lightback bc as that will indicate if hes a lightback bc or a lightback bc split cfw? as he will be a lighter colouration if split cfw sorry to hear you have lost chicks the pair wouldnt be related at all would they? if youve got cfw bc and lightback bc chicks in nest suspect father is like peter suggested and is a lightback bc split cfw
-
from the picture, dont know if others agree but arent there 2 of the fawn ones alot lighter? e.g fawn-lightback or creams was the hen housed with any other birds prior to this pair nesting? i agree there do appears a white feather chick, could it be a fawncheek/greycheek? or possibly a cfw or possibly a isabel type?? do you know the parentage of either parent? Dave

Mark I have a friend local to me who breeds them I'll ask if/when he may have surplus Dave
-
From fawn pied x cfw You can expect Normal split fawn, cfw & pied cocks Fawn hens split pied What were the parents of both birds?
-
If the cock isn't visual or a carrier for blackbreast then no
-
Also would suggest Cock is normal split fawn & cfw So cfw chicks can be both sexes, fawns will be hens Also chance of producing cfw fawn hens too. Dave
-
Like last cock bird alot when's he free to travel lol
-
I like the cream lightback hen
-
I prefer fawn hens shape See how they shape up
-
Could they be contienental cfw? As not so simple as crossover is it? As cock would have to be split fawn too Dave
