  2. Mitch, Hi hope you enjoy your stay on here, good luck with your shed, Trevor
  3. Kerry, Nice little chap there you've got, Have you noticed who has been feeding him ? I've managed to get this type in Normal and LB, you are right some of them do get cheek patch late, It can also be difficult with id'ing the hens as well, Trevor
  4. Dan, That's it you've got it, Trevor
  5. Dan, If you pair a Pen x Normal = 100% Normal split Pen, If you pair the other way around you get the same results, Ok, so if you then pair Normal split Pen x Normal split Pen = 50% Normal split pen, 25% Normal and 25% Pen, This set I've spoken about is when you have a Grey Pen, if it's a fawn Pen then just change normal to fawn, Hope this helps, If still not sure please ask again, Trevor
  6. Helen, Happy birthday, enjoy your day, Trevor
  7. All, This little chap came out on fri, thought i'd show him off. A BCBB Grey Parents are BCBB x BF split BCBB Grey Trevor http://i1177.photobucket.com/albums/x343/trm03/IMG_7785.jpg
  8. Chris, This should be the outcome to your pair:- 12.5% Black face (SF) /Black cheeked Black breasted 12.5% Black cheeked /Black breasted 12.5% Black face (SF) Black cheeked /Black breasted 6.25% Black breasted /Black cheeked 6.25% Black face (SF) Black breasted /Black cheeked 6.25% Black cheeked Black breasted 6.25% Black face (SF) Black cheeked Black breasted 12.5% Normal/Black cheeked Black breasted 6.25% Black face (SF) /Black cheeked 6.25% Black cheeked 6.25% Black face (SF) Black cheeked 6.25% Normal/Black cheeked Trevor
  9. Chris, Not again, you're like magician, do you keep pulling these out of a hat ? Anyway the BC nearest the camera is deffo split for BB, the other male can't see the tail, Yes the hens do look like BF so did you see the mum she must have been BF, The hen on it's own at a guess I would say she is split BC and poss BB, The BC i'm more certain, Good birds though, Well done, Trevor
  10. Hi, Welcome to the ZFF, anything you wish to know just ask, Trevor
  11. Rob, Welcome and enjoy your time on here, Trevor
  12. Kerry, If she is fertile and you had paired her with a zeb, would the hybrid side still continue or does it only come out at the original pairing ? I would have thought that it would only appear at the original source, (bet i'm wrong) If it was me I would pair her up and see, (just my opinion) All the best Kerry, Keep us posted if anything happens, Trevor
  13. Dave, The BF in question is as black as ever no difference poss bit more black underneath, So we'll just have to wait and see, Thanks, Trevor
  14. Kerry, The chap who sold that must have known, why don't people tell the truth, I always give an honest answer when i'm selling at Newark and sometimes from being honest I lose a sale but that's the way it goes, I always try to treat buyers the way i'd like to be sold to, Having said that it's a nice looking hen though, I really hope you have some luck with her, All the best, Trevor
  15. Jeff, Happy birthday chap, have a great day and enjoy yourself, All the best, Trevor
  16. Josh, The fawn hen I reckon could be a BBOB Fawn, The Grey coloured one could be a BB Grey (not clear enough to see if that's OB as well) See you at Newark, Trevor
  17. Chris, If they are taken at face value you should get 25% Fawn M & F The rest will be Fawn split for BC, BB and BCBB, If you get BC Fawns out the male will be split BC as well, Trevor
  18. Chris, Changed my mind with the hen, it's a Fawn hen split BC. Sometimes with BC if it's carrying, you can see a faint BC's By the way had 2 zeb's out in a cage yesterday and they are both BCCFW but they have a lot of the grey lacing on. Parents are BFBC Grey x BCCFW When their out proper i'll post a pic of them on here. Trevor
  19. Saltrock / Chris, Good looking BC's there, I don't think that one is a BCBB. Chris, You keep getting these zeb's don't you ? The male i'm not 100% BC deffo but what sort ? not CFW but could be part off, now looking at the tail it looks as if it's got 3 colours in there, which would point towards Isabel type. Putting that altogether = BCCFW Grey Isabel if i'm right I shall buy a lottery ticket. The hen looks to me as a BCBB fawn due to no tear mark, but the tail shows not, weird ! Trevor
  20. Hi, The zeb you've got there is a Lightback (male) Looks a smart bird, Well done, Trevor
  21. Mark, Keep me posted on how you go, Trevor
  22. Neil, www.zebrafinch.info Hope this helps, Trevor
  23. Mark, Deffo like these a lot 10/10, Look good, Trevor
  24. Sean, Nice looking zeb there, Well done, good job, Trevor
  25. Mark, Great bird mate, like it lot's, Is it one you've bred or bought in ? Either way "nice one" Trevor
