dannyboy2012 63 Report post Posted March 28, 2013 I bred a pair off normals, and I got 5 chicks the oldest one died after it left the parents (normal cock), I have another visual normal cock, and 2 cfw hens plus I believe a normal hen, would the cock bird be split as that's what his farther is or will he just give be normals, plus is the other bird a normal hen or will it be a cock bird as it is small compared too its siblings. paulm 119 Report post Posted March 28, 2013 Hi Dan Sound like your cock from the breeding pair is split CFW this can mean if he produces some cock chicks they may or may not be splits as well, with the cock being split he can when paired to a Normal hen produce both CFW hens and Normal Hens. 25% Normal Females 25% Normal Males 25% Chestnut flanked white Females 25% Normal/Chestnut flanked white Males Paul. Punky 10 Report post Posted March 29, 2013 To see if the cocks are split CFW, take a look at its wings. The feathers should be lighter if they are /CFW.
