Clare L 175 Report post Posted October 29, 2013 At last Jonesy has bred for me, its only taken 4 years. After putting him with some nice hens, he falls in love with a random fawn hen I paired him with. This is the first pic, I'm very pleased. He is BB/OB Isabel & Fawn, and the hen well shes aviary bred so not a clue Just happy he finally likes a hen They are due to fledge any day now can't wait to get a better look at them. Clare L 175 Report post Posted October 29, 2013 Hi Trevor, The chick on the left has a lot of orange lacing, and is very light in colour although darker on the head, I'm really hoping for a cock with this one So I think you could be right, that's what I thought it is OB Is The other two are fawn but I can see traces of orange in the tail bars of one already, the one the right, the middle one I think is more BB, but will have to wait to be 100% on this, as I doing my best to leave them alone My persistence seems to have paid off No long now Clare

Emmy 528 Report post Posted November 11, 2013 Must have missed this post Clare. That's a great outcome. As you know Woopsie, the one I had to hand rear, after being introduced to a few hens finally settled with a white pied hen, now they have 4 chicks, but I can see a 'divorce' coming between him and 'Bianca' in the very near future with me being the judge.
