  1. Coped from the strathclyde face book page Scotlands premier monthly sale of birds and equipment. Strathclyde Foreign Bird Breeders Society. Next sale day Sunday 16th November in Broomhouse community centre, Baillieston road, Broomhouse, Glasgow. G71 7SE. Next to the old Glasgow zoo. Intake of birds and equipment 12Noon open to public 12.30PM. Admission £1 for adults, children and birds free. No extra costs for buyers or sellers. Clean cages and equipment will only be accepted, two birds per suitable sized cage, seed and water in cages.Dirty cages will not be allowed on tables. Birds sold or ordered in advance not allowed on tables.Can be put to side area in hall and must have seed and water in cages.Normal paperwork rules apply.Stewards and committee only are allowed entry to hall before 12.30PM. All public and club members entry is at 12.30PM. Refreshments available, raffle and free advice given

  7. trying to keep an even balance here i agree with you's both yes a pet shop bird may win at cbs show where the competition is not that strong but as Barry said it would not win at a show where there was strong competition for the zebra awards. what i would say is if you want to go into the showing part of the hobby buy the best you can afford one good pair is better than 5 poor pair if you want to keep them as aviary birds or pets then go to a petshop or sales but remember there is exceptions to ever rule and I sure there may be a gem out there in a pet shop but not many also if you buy a bird from a petshop you don't know what genes its carrying Allan

  10. Emmy every one has there own ideas of what age you can pair youngsters up at I personally would always wait till they where at least 9 months old

  15. if they where in a big flight then they should have been able to get away from a bullying older bird another possibility is night fright from a firework going off
  16. What age where the chicks ? was it an outside aviary ? was there any lighting in the aviary? sorry Tom if it seems a lot of questions but need the answers to help answer your question
