I can't exactly see the color of the cock's breast, but it seems to be orange on the first picture........then he would be a BB OB isabel (fawn). "Phaeo" is the name of the combination of isabel with BB he would be phaeo OB. You can have an isabel in grey (normal) or in fawn........these look like fawn isabels.

Welcome Sandeep ! Michael

Looks like a BB fawn hen

Hi Nick, nice birds ! I find the markings ( tail, chest, tear ) are very well dilute !!!!! ......often the teardrop stays darker than the chest- and tail markings. Well done. Perhaps the cheeks of the cock could be a very little less for a cream Are you always pairing fawn x cream ? Are these brother and sister ? Michael

Happy Birthday ! Michael

May be a silver lightback !
-
Hi Scott, both are fawn BB split for isabel.........and that's why this young is an isabel BB (fawn). Michael
-
I would pair it to a big ( with a large round head) normal .............the youngsters will all be normals/penguin. A normal, because that will bring you a deeper grey color on the head and on the back and more orange color in the cheeks. A big one because you will get more size and a better head shape. Then pair the youngsters back to a penguin or to another normal/penguin (from another breeding line). Michael

Hi Dave, we have a lot of bad penguins either up here ...........especially hens with a tear drop, with markings in the flanks or with grey feathers in the breast. But hens with zeb'markings in the breast, i have never seen that . Well now i have . Michael
-
I agree, it is a penguin, but in my opinion it is a cock ! It has some zeb'markings on the breast...........and i can see a very little orange color in the cheek (tear drop area) ! And the color of the beak is dark red ! To be a good quality penguin it should have orange cheeks and orange flanks and a darker grey color all over the head and the back. Only the feathers of the wings should show a little bit of white. .............but if you say it's a female....................i shall be wong.

Hi Nick, I agree with you, the 2nd one looks great...........the feathering is shorter than on the 2 other ones..........and what a superb regular separation of the grey and white colour on the breast and on the flanks!!!!! Michael
-
Yes Jon, pastel bleekrug bruin (as written on the picture) means cream lightback. And it's a nice one Michael
-
it's also a penguin grey cock ti me....no doubt ! Michael

I totally agree, very nice birds Jon ! Michael

Happy birthday Wayne ! Michael

1)No tear mark, the points in the flancs are not round, a lot of black in the breast = BB You should also check the tail marks to be sure it is BB 2) the color of the cheek is not regular, the color of the back doesn't look regular on the picture, no zeb marks on the breast = cheeked. It is CFW anyway. Michael

What a great feather quality,...........hope you'll get more of this til the end of your breeding season !Michael

Yes Paul and Sam, you're right, mine are red eyed CFW (Continental) and Trevor's are black eyed CFW ( UK) and as Sam is telling us that's why mine is darker in color. In my breed i'm mixing both type : the continental ones to improve the color ( cream back, black tail markings and intense orange cheek and flancs marks) and the black eyes for the type (size and model). I'm pairing CFW x CFW : cock red eye x hen red eye, cock black eye/red eye x hen red eye and cock red eye x hen black eye.I'm doing the same pairings in my CFW fawn (BB): You'll find a pic of a CFW BB fawn black eye/red eye cock attached here ...The CFW-BB is a very nice combination of mutations, i hope you will have an excellent breeding season with yours Trevor ! :)Michael

Hi Paul, when i look at the video in full screen mode, I can see much more white colour in the tail stripes as black one.Could he be split for blackbreast ?..........did some of his youngsters have the same tail colour ? Did you never paired him to one of his daughters ?Michael
