  1. All, Here is another couple of pic's of my OBBB young'un. it came out today, I'm well pleased with this little chap, First one of this type I've ever bred, HAPPY DAYS !!! Trevor
  2. All, During the next few weeks I shall be completing a big task in my shed and will be posting blog plus pic's Got to finish cleaning cages out first then we're ready to make a start, I've done some prep work which takes time and you can't really see what i've done but it's necessary, I look forward to my next blog, Trevor
  3. Emmy, Well done, if your pair were only BC and nothing else then it would be 100% BC, But as other colours are involved there poss will be other mutations depending on how strong their genes are between the pair, It's basicly done on % over a time, so if you bred these 10 times you would be surprised at the outcome, All the best, Trevor
  4. All, Here's my new chicks out on Friday pic today, 3x Cream, 1x BB Fawn and 1x Fawn, Pleased with these, Note one of the Creams is a different shade, a bit darker, even with the tail markings, Thanks for looking, Trevor
  5. Hi, Welcome to the forum, hope you enjoy it on here, Trevor
  6. Richard, Good batch of zeb's there well done, Nice OBBB hen there, Trevor
  7. Nick, Done good job there, you must be pleased with them, Will they be on the bench this season ? If so all the best with them, Trevor.
  8. Clare, Good looking male BF there, Nice % of darkness underneath as well, Well done, Trevor
  9. Hi Chill, Hope you don't mind me saying but your hen is not split for fawn. Fawn, CFW and LB are sex linked and only male zeb' scan carry those genes, The hens will only be visual to pass these genes on. Hope this makes sence, Trevor.
  10. Richard, Thanks for posting pic good looking zeb there, Would be interested in seeing a pic of your Silver OBBB when it comes out please, Not sure what to pair it off with really, providing I've got a spare cage for the new season, Prob' a Fawn BB I reckon, Trevor
  11. Chill, Good range of zeb's you have there, All look good well done, The answer to your question is yes you will prob' have that DF scenario, It would be lessoned by the other BB gene, but I still don't think it's a good idea, If it was me I would put her with a BB, This should give you 50% BFBB (males and females) & 50% BB (males and females), Please don't be put off from what I've said, you've got to make your own decision and that's how we learn, Hope this has helped you, All the best with your breeding and thanks for posting pic's, Trevor
  12. Hi, It's a cfw, both zeb's are cfw in photo. Trevor.
  13. Kareem, No not a penguin due to tail patern and the BB cheek markings. Trevor.
  14. All, Just had a bit of luck, had a new mutation out of my shed today, Parents are OB Fawn x Cream hen, 1st brood 1x Cream, this round had 2, 1x Cream and this little chap, I think it's a BBLB Fawn, Note how white it is from under the beak right through to the vent area, Cheered my season up a bit, Trevor
  15. Josh, You've done good there mate, all the best for 2015. Trevor.
  16. Hi Scott, I would deffo keep that pair together, Good pic, Trevor

    Cfw Penguin?

Hi Dave, I've never had that pen' type, I've had are fawn, Normal and BB, At mo I might have a LB Pen young not 100% on that only going by the tail, I was told it's a LB /BB ? Wouldn't the CFW surpress the colours of a Pen' ? I think it might have the same effect as a CFW pied, Might be wrong but still like to see a photo later on Dave, keep in touch, Trevor
  18. Scott, Well done on that, Any chance of pic's of the others whenever they're out please, Would like to see them, Trevor
  19. Hi Chantel, First of all welcome to the forum and hope you enjoy your stay on here, Mutations are not as hard as people make out, just concentrate on the colours you have and once you are used to seeing your colours then move on to other colours. if you try and look at nearly every mutation it does become a bit of a minefield. You can look at www.efinch.com good photo's and good info, well worth a look, it will also clear up the BB markings for you, In your photo's I can see a Fawn hen (single), CFW male with a BC ?, Have you another pic of the BC in the flight would be good please the colours would come across more natural, Hope this helps you (efinch), All the best, Trevor
  20. Sarah, If they are the young from those two, your hen is split for BC and your male is split for BC and fawn, The two young are both split for pied, Hope this helps, Trevor
  21. Hi, Look at tail markings if BB the stripes will be vertical, only BB show this. Hope this helps ! Trevor.
  22. Sue, Happy birthday, have a good day, Trevor.
  23. Hi, Reckon could be a Fawn LB, hard to comment without photo, If it is best to pair with a fawn, Hope this helps, Trevor
  24. Gary, Happy birthday mate, Have a great day and enjoy, You deserve it with all you do on here, All the best Gary, Trevor
  25. Fabian, Scott is spot on, 100% Normal/ BC Phaeo's (50% males and females), Trevor
