  1. Hi Sue, Welcome to the forum. Clare
  2. Hi Darren, Welcome to the Forum. Some nice zebs there. They seem to be mainly CFW Hens & BCCFW Cocks. The hen in the second from last pic could be a Phaeo Hen but not sure. Clare

    Ob?

Hi Kerry, She certainly is unusual, shame the guy wasn't honest with you. I would try to breed just for curiosity Clare
  4. Hi Jon, Thanks, The cream one is really nice, my photo taking skills don't do it justice, it has a nice broad head, one of the best shaped zebs I have had all year. The other one just seems to be a mix of cream & normal, I'm pretty confused by it. Clare
  5. Hi, Had two chicks fledge, one I expected one I didn't! Have attached pics, the parents are Dominant Silver cock, and Normal Hen. Never had a chick with this colouring before, seems to be a bit of everything! This is the other chick that fledged with it. Not seen a zeb with such mixed colouring before, really don't know what to make of it Clare
  6. Hi Graham, Any chance of a pic? Is it a hen or cock? My Silvers have been very slow this year, but are starting to come good now at the end of the season! Clare
  7. Hi Chris, The wings look to be creamy ( best description I could come up with ) Could there be fawn at play? There nice zebs whatever their mutation Clare
  8. Hi Sean, Nice looking penguin. Be nice to see fully moulted. Clare
  9. Hi Chris, I'm hoping to improve the colour of them over time. The one thing I have noticed with the second chick is that its cheek marking's are better from an early age. My question on this is, as it has BB in it are the markings enhanced by this? (so could the BB mutation help with the colouring of this?) This I will have to trial. But first I will have to establish a few fawn BC and splits. Clare
  10. Hi Trevor, Will keep you posted, they are in breeding cage at the moment, have built a lovely nest no eggs yet. I am only expecting splits from this pairing. The new fawn BC chick is split BB as well as I thought so will have to think carefully about what I'm going to do. This is very exciting for me as I have not really concentrated on one colour, but for now its all about the fawn BC's. There is one thing I do know I have a long road ahead to establish and improve this line. The one thing I have noticed is that they are smaller than their brothers and sisters from the same parents. Might have to pm you for some advice on this in the near future if OK? As I'm working with very limited stock. Clare
  11. Hi Sheena, Welcome to the forum, Hope you enjoy Clare
  12. Hi Trevor, Attached pic of a fawn BC cock, sorry about the quality of the pics he wouldn't perch for me. The flanks are a mix of chestnut/ brown but the spots have a brownish ring around them This is something I will need to work on to get all same colour. Hope you like him
  13. Hi Trevor, He's fantastic, you must be pleased. Good luck with breeding him next year Clare

    Fawn Bc

Hi Chris, Will post pics when moulted, will be a while yet though. I'm now hoping to get my fawn BC cock and fawn hen to produce for me, Hopefully they will be splits Cocks and Hens ) Then I can breed to the new fawn BC wether male or female. I also have a couple of normal BC/ Fawns that I can put into the mix eventually to try and help the colour. This mutation is very new to me so any advice how to proceed would be great. Clare

    Fawn Bc

Hi Trevor, I have one Male Fawn BC already from an earlier clutch this year, which I was confused about. But I also think this be a cock as well, plus I'm being hopeful that it is BB as well. I have the older Fawn BC Cock with a split BB Fawn hen at the moment, they are in for the winter, if they do breed I only expect splits. The problem I now have is the hen that produces these is getting old now so probably one or two seasons left in her, she is only rearing one or two chicks per clutch now. But now I have two at least I can bring this line on, although it will take a while. Clare
  19. Hi Ali, Lovely Hen the pics are great. Clare

    Fawn Bc

Hi All, To my surprise had another fawn BC fledge a couple of days ago. Thought my first one was a one off aviary thing. But to my surprise I have another one. So now at least I have been able to identify the cock, who I now know is definitely split for BC as well as the hen. I'm thinking this one could be split BB as well but will have to wait and see. This was the only chick in the nest all other eggs were infertile.
