sorry to hear your chicks died however 4 months old is far far to young to be breeding from them,they are little more than chicks themselves im actually suprised they had fertile eggs i would either split them up or take nest box away and try them in spring when they are mature regards dave

as long as the workshop is damp proof, draught free and you can provide additional lighting throughout winter the birds should be fine Dave

i suspect they are cfw hens,the dark feathering should lighten in a few weeks this is how you sex them in the nest hens having darker heads dave

cream is a dilute fawn as silver is a dilute normal whites just to confuse things is a pied bird but without any dark feathers however white x white =%100 white dave

the only thing Ive had equal this year is fawns,not complaining as usually have loads of hens bred about 15 cfw hens only 4 cocks bred 8 normal cocks only 2 hens bred 5 nice cream hens no cocks i shouldnt grumble didnt think i was going to breed any after the worst start to a year i can remember

i know what you mean paul only bred 2 normal hens this year, sisters and the oldest is cock marked so youngest very good chance of being cock marked too very good head and good size so will probably have to use them next year bred a couple nice cocks though so fingers crossed my normals getting back up to speed great pics mate nice too see quality normals (proper zebs lol) Dave
