Dan, Nice chicks mate. I wouldn't like to hazard a guess as to sex of chicks at this age from a CFW x CFW pair cos they could be either. I had CFW cock x Normal Hen so knew what the chicks would be because of the sex linkage back to parent cock. Might be more experienced members who could tell though. We'll have to wait and see. I was into Budgies but couldn't keep up with all the changes to shape and style etc.. Anyway from one ex service person to another- ENJOY!! Andy

Thanks Clare, I've looked closer at my lot of cock youngsters and several have thicker breast bands but not anything different with the flank markings. And looking at the adults I have some with narrow bands and some with thicker ones. I'll check back on breeding records and see if certain cocks have bred chicks with same width of band etc. Cheers Andy

Hi Phil, Welcome to the forum. I'm a relative newbe having recently changed from Budgies. Hope you get the stock you want. Have you tried the members map to see if there are anymore members localy. Also, if you join the ZFS you will get a hand book that will contain Names and contact details of all (nearly all) the ZFS members. Plus I think there is a big sales / show at Stafford where I understand some good stock is sold. Anyway.. Enjoy!!!!
