Some Of My Birds

Recommended Posts

I'm new to the forum but want to share some photos of a few of my birds.

I have them all in a large aviary and they breed happily.

I have mainly normal or pied birds and one cfw hen. Most of my pieds are minimally marked split pied birds but I have just started getting some more heavily marker chicks.

Currently have another 14 chicks in the next boxes, including one very heavily marked pied and a random cfw!

Thanks for looking :)

Nice birds and great pictures. You should enter some of those in the monthly photo competition.

WOW!

Looking good! I'm into Pied too and have been advised to introduce White to help get the 50% colour break in cheek patches, tear drops etc.

Welcome to the Forum as well. Were your photos from a phone or a camera?

thank you for the lovely comments.

The photos are taken with a nikon 5100 digital slr camera with a zoom lens on. I love taking photos and the birds serve as a nice subject every now and again.

Will take some ,more when my current chicks have fledged as very much looking forward to how they develop.

Andyn - I jadnt really though about pattern etc, I just keep them for enjoyment and sell my surplus stock when i have a population explosion.

I know they're not finches but thought it's share some more photos of the other aviary inhabitants

Those birds are just stunning

Trevor, a member on here, is also interested in photography and manages to get some great shots of birds, insects etc.

I got a new camera a while back but as yet my "L" plates are still on

Just curious are the kakarikis about the same size as peached faced lovebirds?

Hi,

Lovely photos, and nice birds too.

The chick you call two face seems to be BF, do you have a BF zeb?

And Welcome to the forum :)

No they are bigger, about the same size as a cockatiel but a little bit stockier.
